Last updated: September 2026 · MediGuard is operated by Iquore Innovations LLP.
MediGuard exists to help you stay safe with your medications, which means we handle some of the most sensitive information there is. This policy explains â in plain language â what we collect, why, how we protect it, and the choices you have.
This policy applies to the MediGuard mobile app and related services ("MediGuard", "we", "us"). If you have questions, contact us at privacy@mediguard.app.
We do not use your health information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
To provide its features, MediGuard sends limited data to trusted service providers that process it on our behalf. We share only what a given feature needs:
These providers are bound to use your data only to perform their service for us. Sensitive health data is a regulated category; where required, we put appropriate agreements in place with providers that handle it.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.
We never sell your personal or health information.
To exercise any of these, use the app's settings or email privacy@mediguard.app.
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete data or your account, we remove it from active systems; limited records may be retained where required by law or for legitimate security and compliance purposes.
MediGuard is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account, and the app is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 within the meaning of the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 treats everyone under 18 as a child; we do not process children’s data, do not track or profile children, and do not direct advertising at them. If you believe a child has given us data, email privacy@mediguard.app and we will delete it promptly.
Iquore Innovations LLP is based in India, and our service providers operate in India, the United States, and the European Union. Using MediGuard therefore involves transferring your data across borders. Where the law requires a transfer safeguard — such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum — we put one in place with the provider before any transfer, and we contractually require every provider to protect your data to the standard described in this policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not use your health data for advertising or profiling of any kind. We do not disclose your health information to data brokers.
Depending on your state — including under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and comparable laws in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states — you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, to obtain a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of sale or targeted advertising (which we do not do), and to be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights. You may also appeal a decision we make about your request; if we deny an appeal, you may contact your state Attorney General.
Health information you enter is consumer health data under laws such as Washington’s My Health My Data Act and Nevada SB 370. We collect it only to provide the features you use, share it only as described in this policy, and never sell it. To exercise any right, email privacy@mediguard.app; we respond within 45 days and may extend once where the law allows.
HIPAA. Iquore Innovations LLP is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA, so the data you enter in MediGuard is not HIPAA-protected health information. It is protected by this policy and by the security measures described above.
We process your personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 together with the SPDI Rules, 2011. Iquore Innovations LLP is the Data Fiduciary for your data and you are the Data Principal. Health data is sensitive personal data, and we process it on the basis of the consent you give when you enter it — consent you may withdraw at any time, as easily as you gave it, by deleting the data or your account in the app.
You have the right to access a summary of your data and how it is processed, to correct or complete it, to have it erased, to nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated, and to have your grievances redressed.
Grievance Officer. Write to the Grievance Officer, Iquore Innovations LLP, at grievance@mediguard.app. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days, as required by the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Our lawful bases are your explicit consent for health data (GDPR Article 9(2)(a)), performance of our contract with you for account and core app functions (Article 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and working (Article 6(1)(f)). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and you may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority or, in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Wherever you live, you can view, export, correct, and delete your data from inside the app, and you can delete your account at any time. If your local law gives you a right this policy does not mention, email us and we will honour it.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll revise the "last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
MediGuard is operated by Iquore Innovations LLP. It provides informational support only. MediGuard is not a medical device, is not approved or cleared by any medicines or medical-device regulator, and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Using MediGuard does not create a doctor–patient, pharmacist–patient, or any other clinical relationship, and nothing in the app is a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Pill identification, label reading, interaction warnings, lab-report explanations, and health insights are produced by automated image recognition and machine-learning models. They can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date — a medication may be misidentified, a real interaction may be missed, or a warning may appear where no risk exists. Reminders depend on your device and its notification settings and may be delayed or fail to arrive.
Always verify anything MediGuard shows you against the printed label and your pharmacist or treating clinician. Never start, stop, delay, skip, or change the dose of any medication based on MediGuard alone. You are solely responsible for your health decisions, and you use MediGuard at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Iquore Innovations LLP is not liable for any personal injury, worsening of a medical condition, adverse drug reaction, missed or duplicated dose, delayed treatment, or death arising from your use of or reliance on MediGuard. Nothing here excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. The full terms, including our limitation of liability, are in our Terms of Use.
