Who MediGuard is designed for, and why its content is appropriate for a general adult audience.
MediGuard is a medication-safety and health companion built for adults managing their own medications and health, or helping a family member do so. It is intended for a general adult audience and is best suited to users 17 and older, consistent with other medication and health-record apps.
Because MediGuard helps people take their medications safely, it references prescription medications throughout — dosages, schedules, adherence, and drug-interaction and allergy warnings. It also surfaces guidance such as avoiding alcohol with certain medications, and may note factors like smoking or alcohol use where they affect health. All of these references are clinical and treatment-focused. MediGuard never depicts, encourages, glamorizes, or facilitates the recreational use of alcohol, tobacco, or any other substance. The purpose is always safer, informed use of legitimately prescribed medicine.
The only communication feature is private one-to-one messaging between a patient and a healthcare provider they have explicitly linked to through a one-time consent code. There is no social feed, no public profiles, no content discovery, and no way to message strangers.
MediGuard offers educational, informational support to help users stay organized and aware of their health. It is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis or treatment or replace professional medical advice. For urgent symptoms, users are directed to contact their local emergency number or a qualified clinician.
Sensitive health data is encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and protected in transit. Access is tied to the user's own account, provider access requires a one-time consent code the user controls, and data is never sold. See our Privacy Policy for details.
